wow this is really nice i like it  it'd be a bit better if it was bigger though... just to see all the detail
:iconmartyred:
I can see that. I always worry about it being too big so it can't be seen well on a normal computer as mine has uber high res so i am bad a estimating the outcome. umma. Let me , change it now, ...is it better? The full file is 3104x1688.

i dont think something could ever be too big :) if i was submitting it i'd make the height around 600 or more... because it's height is shorter that it's width. if it's width was shorter than it's height, i'd probably make the width 800 lol. that's just me though. because it's really wide and pretty short, having the width to fit the screen makes it seem really small even though it's pretty wide anyway.. hmm. dont know if u can understand that. i know what i mean ha ha.
:iconmartyred:
haha, i understand what you are saying, i started making them smaller as i was angered at the composition of one of my photos when looking at it on a friends computer one day lol. but that is okay, i enjoy having the whole shot in 1 frame methinks. Thanks for the idea, i agree, things are beautiful in full res.
have a good day!,

I think it's a dinky picture for such a nice camera, but apparantly you've already been talking about that. I'd make the width closer to 1000 or 1250. Anyone whose computer can't handle that can look at the preview. . . :gadget:

It looks cool though. Maybe adjust the midtones so you can see more than just silhouettes (since they take up so much of the composition). Or maybe my screen is just too shiny and the reflection is obscuring the detail that's already there. Either way. . .
:iconmartyred:
Problem is most people computers can't handle it, and i can see it big so hahahah. But really.. I have a couple different versions, one where you can see the boats a bit better, but i believe i enjoyed this one at 2 last night, i will look at my options after philo and see which one is better with my returned sensibility.

this is wonderful, i think you've got a lot of good elements here. firstly, i like the symetry created by the boats. secondly, i think with the silhouettes rather than detail of the boats, you can really focus on the shapes created by them on the bright horizon which i think looks great. the small detail you can see in the boats i think creates a surreal atmosphere too. great shot!
